Pumpkins!

We wanted to bake some pumpkin seeds so we thought the girls would like to help clean out the pumpkins. Well, Camryn loved it...Kristin not so much. The pictures say it all. Camryn in pink, Kristin in blue.

Bare hands

Kristin just looking at the gooey insides

Pouty face - you can't make me stick my hand in there

Cam having a blast

Finally a smile - because we didn't make her dig the seeds out with her bare hands

Much happier with a spoon to dig with

State Fair 2009

I love the fair! This year the girls were old enough to enjoy all the animals, food and fun. I had forgotten what a beating that parking could be, but the parking fiasco (think miles of walking just to get to an entrance) didn't put a damper on the festivities.

A little out of order...but a family photo (the girls couldn't be separated from their corn on the cob)

The sheep with "jackets" on

In the petting zoo area - I love Camryn's expression. We had just asked if they wanted to touch the goat's nose - Kristin said "noooooo" and Camryn got this look on her face.

I can't remember the name of this critter - first the girls called it a puppy, but then it started hopping, so they called it a bunny

Camryn was all over petting the giant camel

My favorite part - the interactive children's farm area - Little Hands on the Farm. They put on these tiny aprons, grabbed a bucket and were off on an adventure.First they picked some corn

Then they fed the corn to the chickens and got an egg in returnKristin driving the tractor (her basket in the trailer)

After all their hard work (milking cows, picking wool off sheep, planting seeds, harvesting crops), they "sold" all their stuff and got "money", which they were able to spend in the store. (They bought fruit snacks)

Corn on the cob! (Kristin left, Camryn right)

Texas nachos! Do other states do this?? We Texans sure are proud of our state.

Walt and Cam

Me and Kristin (check out that cheesy grin! Literally...cheesy)

Fall Picnic

Last weekend, we were able to join my mom at her employer's yearly picnic. It was a little more like a carnival with lots of food and prizes - and all free! The girls were able to play all the carnival games and had a blast throwing footballs, rings, bean bags, etc. They won lots of games and really enjoyed picking out their prizes. We took a break to eat lunch, then played more games and even took a side trip to the playground for some sliding (and more sliding).

Ready to Model

They have been practicing their poses...hands on chin...squish the cheeks a little...smile...you know the drill. Camryn in pink, Kristin in yellow.
Don't forget baby!

Under Arrest

Under Arrest for being Too Cute! (Kristin in yellow, Camryn in pink)

Kissing their babies bye, bye.

Guessing Time ***UPDATED***

Picture #1 - Kristin
Picture #2 - Camryn

When it gets too quiet

When it gets too quiet, that means you need to go find your two small children who you thought were playing. The quietness seems so nice, but don't enjoy it for too long...or else you might find this when you go hunting -

Two sweet girls that have emptied their dresser

And their babies joined the fun

But how can you not smile at this!
