Easter #1

We celebrated Easter a week early with Walt's side of the family...Janel and her husband Jacob hosted the event. The food was wonderful, the egg hunt was stupendous, and the company was lovely.

Janel had coloring pages for all the kiddos - they loved it! (Kristin)

Loving the rocking chair. They have their tiny puppies in their arms and are rocking them to sleep.

1st Haircut!

Anytime the girls are trying something new and we ask, "Who is going to go first/try a bite first/ect?", Kristin ALWAYS volunteers Camryn to go first. So, in keeping with this theme, Camryn was the first one to get her haircut on Saturday. Walt has been getting his hair cut by the same girl for at least the past 2 1/2 years (while I was sitting in the hospital waiting for my c-section, he was getting his hair cut at this same place).

This picture cracks me up! Camryn tends to wring her hands and get fidgety fingers (crossing/tapping her fingers) when she is concerned, but in this picture it looks like she is pleading with Walt to PLEASE let her get down.

What is this lady doing to me??? What is this crazy blanket doing tied around my neck??

Then the switch flipped and she was totally fine.

Cheese!

All done!

Kristin's turn - she sat on my lap and watched Camryn the whole time she was getting her hair cut, so I guess she realized that Camryn didn't get an ear cut off, so it must be safe.

I think she enjoyed it!

All done!

Relaxing while I paid

My favorite part of the haircut was that our sweet hairdresser, Tara, put all of their little cut off curls into a little envelope for me to take home. She was so great with the girls - I'm glad we finally took them. Check that milestone off the to do list.

Twin Buddies

This past weekend, we hit up a local twin groups' garage sale to find all the great deals. The best part about these types of sales is that almost everything comes in twos! To double the fun - the girls' twin friends (they all share the same birthday) drove up to join us. Well, they didn't drive, but their mom, Judy, did! Me and Judy were able to get some shopping done, while all the little girls did some toy testing. Special thanks to Walt and Noni for keeping an eye on these little toy testers. Maggie and Macy picked out a giant Dora dollhouse with a super cool trap door and Kristin and Camryn picked out little Big Wheel/tricycles with pedals.

Judy and her family own a daycare, so she was able to find tons of great stuff to take back with her - we had to test out our super mom packing skills to get all the stuff into her vehicle, but we managed to get everything jigsaw-puzzled in.

We ended up all staying awake until midnight - just playing and talking. What a late night...but totally worth it.

In case identical twins weren't strange enough - our 2 sets of identical twins have so many things in common that it kind of boggles my mind. Judy and I had similar pregnancy issues (TTTS, same high risk OB), we had c-sections in the same hospital, on the same day, and the same doctor delivered both sets of twins, 3 of our4 girls were discharged from the hospital on the same day, and to top it off - remember the pink 4-wheelers? Kristin, Camryn, Maggie and Macy all received the same pink 4-wheeler on their birthday, September 6th. Weird.

Sweet Macy - I took about 20 pictures and she has the same sweet grin on her face in every one...the other girls are looking all over the place.

Baby Baskets

Special thanks to the pediatric dentist rep who dropped these brightly colored baskets off at my mom's office. They make great baby beds!

Feeding Ducks (and Geese!)

Spring Break was just a preview of the fun that is to come this summer! We fed the ducks for the first time this year and the girls loved it...that is until the SUPER noisy geese came along. "Daddy, up please!" Even I was a little intimidated by the big 'ole geese, but I stood my ground (even when they nibbled my shoelaces) and feed them bread.

An open field??? Time to run! Toward mom and dad...

Spring Break at the Zoo

Not only was I on Spring Break this past week, but my little brother, his fiance and my little sister were in town also! So we decided to make the best of a chilly day and go to the zoo.

Walt had Camryn kissing the parakeets (not really kissing them, but getting REAL close)
