Bath Time Babies

For their birthday, the girls received the cutest Bath Time Babies. Well every day since their birthday (no lie - EVERY day) they have taken their babies in the bath with them. At first I was a little reluctant to allow the babies in the tub because I figured it would make the whole night time routine even longer than it already is, but much to my surprise, it didn't make it longer at all! If anything, the girls are more focused on the bath instead of just playing. They each get a washrag and mimic everything that I am doing to them with their babies. When I put soap on my washrag, they put soap on their washrag. I scrub their toes, they scrub their babies' toes. I wash their hair, they put "bub-bubs" (bubbles) on their babies bald head. As an added bonus, these babies have a drain hole, and when they "drain", they appear to be peeing. The girls have become increasingly interested in their potties, but even more so now because we have been putting their babies on the potties to tee-tee.

We have babies in the tub!!

Drowning...I mean getting the baby wet

Kristin holding her baby so carefully

Camryn is so excited about her baby

P.S. Their hair does get wet in the bath...I promise. All of these pictures were taken at the very start of their bath before I had taken their hair down. Don't judge.

Bath Time Beauties

Our bedtime routine used to consist of dinner, bath, get dressed in jammies, cuddle/read a book, then off to bed. Well now the girls are becoming quite the little night owls. After their nightly bath, they love to run around and play - naked of course. It doesn't last too long because I get a little antsy when they squat, so we drag them off to their room to get a diaper and jammies.

Cam - Why are you taking my picture??? My hair is so flat!

Kristin REALLY wanted her paci in the tub...naughty girl

Where is my towel?

Now my hair has some "umph"

This was also the first time that we have LOST a paci. I was holding Kristin upside down to make her laugh (instead of scream because I was taking her away from play time) and I heard the paci fall to the ground. Except it was NO WHERE to be found! This is not a good thing. We do not have backup pacis. I looked and looked - in the closet (maybe it bounced under the door), behind the curtains (maybe I was going crazy and I didn't really hear it fall in the hallway). After about 10 minutes of fruitless searching, I went for the old pacis - the ones that are retired to baby doll use only. I brought in about 4 different pacis and Kristin finally kind of decided on one that MIGHT work. She wasn't totally sold on the idea though. So I made one final sweep of the area where I thought she dropped it, and lo and behold there it was! Thank goodness...crisis averted.

Where is Camryn?? Can you find her Kristin?

There she is!

Out of my way! Camryn was totally caught in the act of almost biting Kristin...she didn't actually bite her, but man it looks close!

Can you find the baby?? (Kristin hiding in the curtains)
