Tree Lighting and Hot Chocolate

We bundled up and and headed out to a local tree lighting ceremony to enjoy the Christmas lights.  Our real motive was to let the girls see Santa and get to have their picture taken with him.  We enjoyed a few of the attractions they had set up.  Aside from Santa, my two favorite things were the reindeer (they have the fuzziest noses!) and the hot chocolate.  They had two 2 sets of hot chocolate - one for kids and one for adults.  The kids' was much cooler so that the kids could drink it immediately.  Awesome thinking!

Christmas Hats

I wanted to get some traditional red "Santa" hats for some Christmas pictures...well, the girls had other plans in mind.  They saw these sparkly pink sequined things...and just couldn't be bothered with boring red hats anymore.

Mini Photo Shoot #1

Over Thanksgiving break, I borrowed a friend's camera - I was thinking of upgrading from our small point and shoot camera to a fancier DSLR camera.  I dragged the girls outside and forced them to smile sweetly with each other.  Posing for pictures is like pulling teeth...NOT!  Here is my first shot at taking pictures with a Canon Rebel T2i.
