Princess Castle

Thanks to a friend of ours, the girls are now enjoying a wonderful Weebles castle! They love to make the characters go down the slide and watch them fall into the moat that surrounds the castle. Thanks Betzy!

The Lake

This weekend me, Nana, and the girls headed out to Joe Pool Lake for some fun in the sun. It felt like we were packing for a week long trip - snacks for the car ride, bathing suits, towels, extra change of clothes for the girls, sandwiches, fruit, drinks, sunscreen, etc....You get the idea. After we got all packed up, we hit the road and made the ~45 minute trip (with only 1 turn-around). The girls were a little ambivalent at first, but soon warmed up and throughly enjoyed the sand and water.

At my grandmother's house among all the beanie babies, the girls found this little stuffed dog.

They really love puppies.

Twin Speak

Apparently something is funny...

Craft time

While we were at IKEA a while back I picked up these "fusible beads" and several different shapes to put them on. The container says it is for children 4 and up, but not to be deterred by silly warning labels, I decided that this would be a fun activity. To help keep the pieces from getting all over the place, I gave the girls each a plate with raised edges. They got to pick which shape they wanted to decorate - Kristin picked a heart and Camryn picked a large rectangle. Walt and I quickly realized that this was more of a parent project, than a toddler project. Those tiny pieces are hard to hang onto, much less get them on the little shape. The girls helped pick out the colors, but Walt and I ended up putting them together. After ironing the beads until they melted, we added a magnet to the back so they could be proudly displayed on the refrigerator. Kristin and Camryn were SO proud of their tiny creations...even if they mostly just watched the creation.

Tutus

Last Christmas I got the girls tutus from Gymboree. I bought size 2T because I figured they wouldn't really be into playing with them until they were a little bigger. About once a month I would try to get the girls to put them on, but they just weren't feeling it. Until a few days ago. With a little persuasion, I was able to get the girls to put them on. And they had so much fun dancing (and riding zebras) in their pretty "dresses".

Crib Play

The past few days the girls have enjoyed playing in each other's cribs. They get all giddy and jump around like crazy.
What are YOU doing in MY crib??
I'm playing with all your toys of course! Because we all know that YOUR toys are better than mine...even if they are exactly the same.

Chairs Aren't Just for People

According to Kristin

Cabbage Patch Kids like chairs too

Fun in the Car

While driving in the car sometimes we have to come up with fun things to do. And sometimes the girls come up with their own fun things to do.

Camryn - yes, she is wearing two pairs of sunglasses. This is all her own doing. And she does it constantly. It is the new thing...didn't you know?
