Usually when we go to my parent's house, the girls immediately ask to go see the horses in the back yard, but don't really want to pet them much. They get a little nervous with the big horses and their BIG nostrils sniffing them. Well this trip was a totally different story.
Camryn has really started being a "go-getter" and will pretty much try anything you ask her to, while Kristin is a little more reserved (to put it lightly) in new/different situations. We separated the big horses from the miniature horses and as soon as we got into the pasture
Camryn wanted down and she took off straight toward the minis. Not a single hesitation. Just walked up and started patting their noses. Huge grin on her face the whole time. Kristin quickly followed suit once she saw it was safe. I love watching them enjoy something that I love so much. They walked all around, patting each horse, stomping through the hay, exploring the barn, carried feed buckets and fed horses. I'm so glad that the girls are becoming less nervous around the horses and I'm thankful that my parents have horses that are calm enough for the girls to be around safely.
