Logs, Tables and Beanie Babies

We started out the day with a trip to McDonalds - and their playground. This particular McDs has a small toddler-only area that the girls love. To me it is pretty boring because it only has two things in it - a log and a frog, but they enjoy the simplicity. There was this sweet little boy (not really so little, more like 5) who had a stuffed frog. Well he proceeded to tell me that the big frog in the play area was the "mommy frog" and his frog was the baby. He then held his frog up to the chest of the "mommy frog" and told me that "the baby was getting milk from the mommy's (he paused...), the mommy's... you know." He was implying that frogs drink milk when they are babies. It was all I could do not to bust out laughing. Walt decided that perhaps he had a younger sibling who was nursing. The things that kids say are so funny!

Hello!

We then headed out to my grandmother's house to hang out. She has several large totes full of beanie babies that she pulled out for the girls to play with. They were in heaven! Pointing to all the animals, arranging and rearranging for hours. Literally. They would stack them in the totes, then take them all out. Then stack them on the hearth, then move them to the table.

How many can I carry at one time?

After lots of sorting (all the birds in one pile, the bears in another pile, etc) we decided on an early dinner at Chili's. The girls got their own table for two. Just kidding. They were just at the table as a distraction, but they look so grown up.
