We were lucky enough to spend New Year's Day with our wonderful friends/neighbors the M's! The men smoked all kinds of yummy things - brisket, chicken and hot dogs. Delicious! It was a little chilly outside, but that didn't stop all the kiddos from sliding and playing house in the backyard. Once we finally got them all inside,they all got together, held hands and tromped around in a circle while Callie sang "Ring Around the Rosie". Once that became boring they started an energetic game of "chase" around the kitchen island. Basically - run around in circles and laugh hysterically the whole time. In an effort to calm the crazies, we set the night owls up with some paper and crayons and let them go to town.

I loved your comment about the chase! Every house we have lived in has had what we call a "run-around" and children always figured it out and ran around many, many times! Some things never change!
