In 4 short months

My tiny babies will be 2 years old. They are 20 months old today. 20 MONTHS! How/when did this happen? The days seem to go by slowly, yet suddenly almost 2 years have passed since these sweet children landed in our laps. I can still vividly remember the sonographer uttering these words that changed our lives forever, "Do twins run in your family?". Cue my chin dropping to the ground. The girls have grown so much - here are some updates on what they are up to these days:

Kristin: Teeth - 16 (8 on top, 8 on bottom)
Words - mom, dad, bye, yes, please, cheese, this, that, juice
Signs - more, all done, not done (cover food with both hands), bath, eat, drink, outside, cat
Body parts that can be identified - eyes, ears, nose, hair, shoulder, elbow, arm, fingers, belly, belly button, leg, knee, toes, foot, tail and whiskers (on animals)

Camryn: Teeth - 14 (8 on top, 6 on bottom)
Words - mom, dad, yes, please, this, that, juice, goldfish (go 'ish)
Signs - more, all done, not done (cover food with both hands), bath, eat, outside
Body parts that can be identified - eyes, ears, nose, hair, shoulder, elbow, arm, fingers, belly, belly button, leg, knee, toes, foot, tail and whiskers (on animals)

While neither of the girls are speaking many words that WE can understand, they understand SO much of what we say to them. They follow multiple step directions and generally share with each other very well. They are starting to show a preference for items based on color now. They used to just take whatever you handed them, but now they really enjoy picking which one they get. They don't always pick the same color, I think they just like being able to pick. Gotta love the power. They love playing outside. Sitting outside. Taking walks outside. Really anything outside. They can give hugs, kisses, eskimo kisses (nosies), high fives, and fist bumps. They can clap their hands and stomp their feet. So many things to list. And still so many things missed.

My sweet little babies are growing up. Right before my eyes. Everyday they do something new. Learn something new. And this is only the beginning. I love my sugar pies so much!!
