Christmas at Grandma's

1st stop (after opening Santa's presents) was Grandma Erlinger's house.  This year Walt's sister, her husband and their son, Mark, joined us via Skype because they are living in St. Louis now and couldn't be here in person.  The girls had fun running over to the computer every so often and holding up their presents to show what they had received.

Traditions at Grandma's house:
(at Thanksgiving) Each person hangs their individual ornaments on tree
(at Christmas) Matching sweatshirts for family photo
Presents first, then stockings
Always breakfast food to eat

Christmas Evening

On Christmas evening, we finished opening presents at our house.  The girls helped pass out presents and had a blast opening more presents.  Their favorite part was trying everything on as they opened it.

Christmas Morning 2011

We started Christmas day at our house - we let the girls open their presents from Santa and they presents that they picked out for each other.

All they asked for from Santa was a brown teddy bear and puppy slippers.  Who knew that brown teddy bears were so hard to find?  I guess it is a good thing that Santa had to find that one.

This year we thought the girls were old enough to pick out presents for each other so I took them one at a time to the book store and let them pick out a few books for each other.  They were so cute deciding which books to get

Cookies for Santa

After writing letters to Santa, the girls received letters back from Santa!  They were so excited!  In his letter, Santa specifically asked for cookies and milk for himself, and carrots for his reindeer.  After hearing that, the girls were on a mission.  First up - cookies.
