Whoa Baby!

Instead of using the adjectives big and little or many and few to describe things - the girls use "whoa" and "baby". Example: When Kristin sees a Great Dane she says, "whoa puppy" and when Camryn sees a toy poodle she says, "baby puppy". Airplane high in the sky - "baby hairpen", a flock of birds flying over the house - "whoa gucks". (They call all birds ducks).

"Whoa" can mean that an object is large or that there are lots of a particular object. "Baby" generally only means small. Hand signs are also used to demonstrate and reiterate the meaning they are trying to convey.

Open hand means "whoa" and pinky finger held up means "baby" (baby finger). See example below:

The Guessing Game - Behind the Scenes

It should be known that the girls do not always just stand in the same manner. They each have their own quirks. We asked them to stand still and look at the ground.

This is what we got first. Camryn pulling on her shorts.

We got Cam to stop pulling on her shorts...then Kristin started tugging on her shirt.

Kristin's posture is a little different than Camryn's, so we told Kristin to "suck it in". Instead she stuck it out further.

To occupy their hands, we had them make use of their pockets, but then they started looking all over creation.

Thank goodness for digital cameras. 50 shots for one good one.

Ladybugs

We had a rescue mission recently - there were tons of ladybugs in the pool so we started scooping them out, but they couldn't fly away because their wings were wet. Walt brought them over to the table and the girls helped keep them corralled until they were all dry.
