Big Girl Beds

We have started transitioning the girls to their toddlers beds. They are currently just taking their one daily nap in these cute little beds. Walt has been really great about making making, and following through with, rules for the beds. The beds are only for laying on. They have so many places to play throughout the house and it is already hard enough to get two kids to go to bed at the same time, we don't need the added fun of jumping on the beds. So far the "going to sleep" part is going great, but now their one precious nap has gone from 2-3 hours to 1 hour. This has made for some interesting (translation: meltdown filled) evenings and has required some changes to our schedule. They are now going to bed earlier, which is giving us a little more quiet time in the evening. But man I would love to have that extra hour back in the middle of the day. One step closer to being in big girl beds full time.

Baseball Time

Walt is helping coach our nephews' baseball team so me and the girls decided to check out a game. The girls' cousin, Jaxon, helped to keep them occupied by giving them lots of pretzels.

The girls decided to rearrange the living room for their own enjoyment. They pulled their little purple chairs right in front of the small toy box and went to town emptying the bin. I wonder how often they will rearrange their own room...?

Bird Watching

We have a small bird feeder outside our front window. It is too small for anything except finches and chick-a-dees. So the bigger birds just have to take the leftovers from the windowsill and the ground. The girls will watch the birds forever (well at least a minute or two).
